LA Crowds

Went to see Los Amigos Invisibles the other weekend. Now that band does a booty good. They KNOW how to move a crowd. I’ve seen them five times throughout the country–five amazing parties. Maybe it was the venue, or the city, but their show at the House of ”everything but the” Blues was painful. NO ONE in the bootyful latinolicious crowd was dancing. There’s one part of the ”Ponerte en Cuatro” chorus where everyone is supposed to  jump up and down, hold 4 fingers to the sky and yell, “En cuatro! En cuatro!” Yeah… not so much. I was jumping. Then I stopped cuz I accidentally stepped on this gordita’s patent leather pumps and she looked at me like she was going to eat me. Then Julio Briceño, the lead vocalist, told me to keep jumping. So I did, but it was all forced and awkward at that point. I was only jumping for Julio’s sake, and not because I felt like it. LA, you bring me down sometimes.  Caca.
